Something To Think About

Moved on! Check TheCairoCalls

I came across this line of poetry recently, and I think that it accurately represents how it feels being in Egypt now:
لعمرك ما ضاقت بلاد باهلها**ولكن اخلاق الرجال تضيق
(Oh, by my life, a country is never too small for its people**but people's characters can get smaller)
Think about it.

Note: It was mentioned by Heikel on his last episode in Al-Jazeera, when asked about the situation in Egypt nowadays.

Moved on!

I saw this program with Heikel and I too, was very impressed by his answer.
How true!
Thanks for providing the link to the program.

You know what? Before Heikal acts like the self appointed wise man of Egypt, he should be thankful that the Egyptians didn't act like any self respecting people would after such a defeat in 67 and drag him and his boss and their entire cabal through the streets of cairo then hang their bodies up side down from a lamp post then leave it rot, but the audacity of that bastard to lament about the state of the country now, in which he was a major contributing factor is just so disgusting, are we still that foolish, he knows very well that no one wanted to immigrate out of egypt before nasser's dark days.
